The City of Vista and EDCO are sponsoring a FREE shredding event. The event is limited to two banker boxes (10” x 12”x15”) per household. A certified shredding truck will be present during the event, and all items will be shredded ONSITE!
Unwanted electronics, such as TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, etc., will also be collected. However, no household hazardous waste (HHW) material will be accepted.
Free mulch will also be available for Vista residents (while supplies last). This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul service, so please bring your own cans/bags, gloves, and shovel. There is a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
Goodwill will also be onsite to accept donated reusable items. Please click here for a list of items that Goodwill will not accept.
